Top 8 Gifts I Received This Year
It's hard to believe the Christmas season is already over. Time sure does fly when you're spending it with your friends and family. I think I've had all the milk and cookies I can handle at this point. It's always nice having a break from school and being able to relax at home. I've had multiple Christmas dinners with different sections of the family and I can hear the gym calling my name already. Let's hope the damage isn't too bad because I have a wedding to prepare for!
With the holiday season winding down, I thought it'd be fun to share some of my favorite gifts from Christmas 2016. Usually I provide my mom with a list of everything I want and she tries to find whatever she can. This year, she had to wing it because I never gave her a list. I must say she nailed this year's Christmas gifts. I can't wait to share with you what all I received from her and my other family members or friends this year. I think the accuracy of my gifts prove that my family and friends know me pretty well. Here are the top 10 Christmas gifts I received this year:
// 1. Dachshund Water Bottle //
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It's a S'well bottle that's purple (my favorite color) and covered in little dachshunds! It's adorable and functional. People really love these S'well bottles and now I know why. I put ice water in it and I couldn't even feel the coldness from the outside. After an hour, the outside of then bottle was still at room temperature and my ice cubes were almost full size. Simply amazing.
// 2. Sushi Go Card Game //
Okay, so I'm really impressed with my mom on this one. I saw Sushi Go in a Barnes and Noble store months ago. I never told her anything about it or even mentioned it around her. Well, she saw the game and thought it looked like something I'd like and bought it for me. I was so excited when I opened up that game on Christmas morning. The cards are printed with colorful sushis with happy faces and I love it! Since then, Stephan and I have played it many times. It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to make everyone at school play it with me.
// 3. Victoria's Secret Tease Perfume Gift Set //
Stephan's grandparents actually got this one for me. They also got me a perfume gift set last year too. I love this perfume so much. It smells heavenly and now I have plenty to last me for a long time. I opened up this massive gift set with lotion and perfume all in my favorite scent and I couldn't be happier.
// 4. Bride to Be Wine Glass and Pineapple Wine Cork //
The triplets know me too well. They got me a stemless wine glass from Francesca's with gold lettering that says "Bride to Be" on it. They also paired it with a ceramic pineapple wine cork. I've always been a fan of Francesca's little knick knack section and I've been dying for some "Bride" gear and I look forward to "Wifey" stuff in the future. They are actually the first people to give me anything that says "Bride to Be" on it, so it was pretty special to me.
// 5. Indiefit Poncho //
My mom knew I had been looking for a poncho with some fun color-blocking on it. We'll she found this amazing poncho from Indiefit that's even reversible. With beautiful autumn colors and fabric that's softer than my favorite blanket, I think she nailed it. I've already draped this poncho over my favorite dress for a nice, comfy outfit.
// 6. Drink Mixers Gift Set //
My parents love to make fun of me for drinking wine and all. I hardly ever drink anything alcoholic, especially since I've been home because I haven't felt like it with all the things going on. But the running joke in our house is that ever since I turned 21 I've become an "alchie". It's just a fun little way for them to make fun of me now that I'm a "real adult" in their eyes. But, my mom found this neat gift set with different cocktail mixers. It tells you the name of the cocktail and where it originated. Pretty cool right? I can't wait to try them out.
// 7. Automatic Wine Opener //
Not really helping me to not sound like a wine-o-colic, but I did get an automatic, battery-powered wine opener for Christmas. I'm pumped. Opening wine bottles isn't that great, but now I have a fancy new gadget to make that a lot easier. Can't wait to test it on some Cupcake Vineyards Moscato de' Asti wine later.
// 8. Another Year With Family and Friends //
Isn't this the best gift of all? I'm reminded ever year that I have an amazing family full of people who love and care for me more than I'll ever know. I also have some of the greatest friends in the world. I couldn't be more thankful for the blessings I've been given. Having another year of memories to cherish is the best gift I could ever receive.
