The Dieting Saga Continues
My diet continues to show more promising results. The weightloss has slowed to about a pound every two-three days, but I feel amazing. I feel lighter, healthier and more energized. I've learned what I can and can't eat. I've learned the recipes that work for me and how to make tasty treats that don't break the rules. I'd say I'm cruising quite nicely.
I do think I've reached a plateau though. At the beginning, I dropped weight so fast that I was excited and motivated. Now that it's slowed down a little and I've gotten used to the diet, it feels more like a boring routine. So I've decided it's time to exercise and see if faster results will return. I'm following this diet to the T. I can't do more about my food intake. The only thing I can change is my exercising habits and my lifestyle. So far, Pokemon Go has really helped with that. I walked two hours downtown with my fiancé searching for hidden critters. My best friend is also helping me by making me walk with her and swim almost everyday. I love being active, but I need to be distracted so that I don't realize I'm working. Hopefully I can learn to walk more and do a few strength training exercises to really get this weightless journey going.
I want more than just a smaller frame. I want a toned, fit body. Something that shows off how hard I worked to get that body. My diet was the perfect kickstart. With two weeks left, I want to get myself in shape and get used to this new lifestyle. I plan to continue eating very close to the guidelines of my diet after the 28 days are finally over. I still miss white rice and cheese so I know I'll add them back in. I want to focus on healthier and properly proportioned meals. I don't want the weight to come back and I don't want the struggles I've gone through to be for nothing.
Dieting and exercise are lifestyle changes. It will never work if I just do it for a little while and then go back to my old ways. I have to be willing to live that way each and every day. A healthier diet and a regular exercise routine is good for you. I'm glad I started this diet because I've realized how easy it is to eat clean food and lower your intake of harmful preservatives and sugary foods. It's important to take care of yourself and this is my journey to a healthier, happier me.
